TP750 Enhanced Parallel Port

Hi Folks,

Does anyone have problems enabling the EPP on their TP750? I read
the FAQ and enabled LPT2 (in Easy Setup) and installed the EPP19.SYS
driver in CONFIG.SYS.

However, on boot up, an error message reports that the driver failed
to initialise LPT1 and that I should enable LPT2 or LPT3. I used the
PS2 command to do this (PS2 PARALLEL LPT2) and then rebooted without
error.

On subsequent reboots, the error sometimes appears again (if I have
been using the parallel port) and requires me to type in the PS2
command again.

Is it necesary to load the EPP19.SYS driver to enable the EPP port,
or have other people just enabled LPT2 and it has worked? Can anyone
tell me what data rate I might be able to expect with a parallel
port CD-ROM like BackPack?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Regards

Dan Hammett.
