driver & BIOS updates

hi.  i had a look at the offered files on IBM's web page
for thinkpads and Windows 95.  i would love to know whether
any of these solve my current problem of not being able to
hibernate under W95 ... but i wasn't able to find any information
on what drivers have been updated, or are recommended to be
updated, or anything like that.  is there a list of recommended
updates anywhere?

p.s. linux runs really well on my system -- all of the card management
stuff works great, the hibernation and sleep modes work, power
consumption is moderate, cards eject without hanging the system, etc. 
why can't windows95 get it together?  sigh ...
