TP755CD, Linux, modem

I saw someone mention that there were people working on drivers for the 
Modems for these things, and I was wondering how we can find out how the 
progress is going.  I was also wondering if it would be possible to 
access the modem by loading the dos drivers into the mwave chip by using 
dosemu?  Has anyone tried this?
