speaker static

I've had a constant problem with static in my 755CD's right speaker--it does
it all the time, not just when the speaker is emitting (wanted) sound.  It
came back from EZ Serve repair in worse condition than it went in.  It's so
aggravating now that I find myself wanting to smash the case around the
keyboard with my fist just to get it to shut up.  Has anyone else had this
same problem? Any suggestions on what to do about it?

Also, on the 32-bit CD-ROM drivers, I've been unable to locate them on the
Microsoft site for downloading.  In fact, I was told by their tech support
that they weren't writing any 32-bit drivers for the 755CD.  Obviously other
folks on this list are using these drivers, though--so they must be out
there.  I'd appreciate it if someone would post the URL for finding them.
