OS/2 desktop problem on TP 760CD

This is probably more of an OS/2 problem than a TP problem, but suddenly
the other day, my desktop got arranged, permanently. All the icons went
to the top, like a normal arrange, but none of them can be moved, and
the ones with titles have the title in an odd inverted font (unreadable
black on dark grey). Everything works, except I cannot move any icons,
they drag, but then pop back to their original positions.
