     If you want to be really careful with your Thinkpad, you could put it 
     in a large zip-lok bag before you bring it in from the cold into a 
     warm building, and leave it in there until it comes up to room 
     temperature.  This is what photographers do to keep the higher 
     humidity inside buildings from condensing on the cold, inner parts of 
     photographic equipment.  I think this might be worth doing if your 
     Thinkpad has gotten really cold.
