Warnings: mwave modem, pkzip

[1] I just tried to use the 1-month-old mwave 2.0 software fax modem for the
first time under Windows 3.11. I used the Windows terminal program. Well,
I got an internal error when it started to actually dial, and I could no
longer shut down Windows. After a reboot, win.exe and the windows\system
subdirectory is gone. Deleted. "Lovely." Of course, under Windows, one
never knows what causes a problem, but I did not run anything else before the
mwave modem.

[2] I made an earlier backup of my hard disk using pkzip. Unfortunately,
for some reason (probably the fact that PC-DOS 7 is different from MS-DOS 6),
it failed to include directory information. So, I spent the last couple of
hours piecing back together the windows\system directory. More "lovely."

Incidentally, on startup, I now get a window with "MWME0001:MWave Modem
Internal Error. Primary Code:4, Secondary Code:0, file mwmparse.c. Line:
1561."
