Mark, my point is that it is entirely up to you whether you want this
to be the csae, I asume the PB is the same brightness on or off battery.
If you want the brightness of the TP to be the same as the brightness
of the PB when operating on battery, just ask for it.

What your sentence really meant was

  "the PB is brighter when both units are running off of battery, and you
   operate the TP at low brightness level"

I don't know if the PB can reduce the brightness of the screen or not. If
not, then this is a clear advantage of the TP to have this control (yes yes
I know IBM doesn't document it properly :-)
