I have had bad luck with the Netscape sound player as a whole,
including on my 750. I advise just junking it and using the windows sound
recorder or (better yet) win-play-any (wplany is the file name, I think).
You can find it off a link on Netscape's home pages.
I think the Netscape sound player is just junk and it has nothing to do
with the Thinkpad. I also think it was a stupid addition - use freaking
OLE or DDE or something, quit cluttering up my hard drive with duplicate
utilities! If they wanted to just make it easier for newbies, they could
have had the default association be with the sound recorder.
