Well - I still need a bigger drive for my 360C, so after poring through the
Computer Shopper I came up with a couple supposed sources. Has anyone seen
these?
Kahlon Inc: in Yorba Linda CA, "IBM Thinkpad Hard Drives for 350, 360, 750,
755, All drives include removable case and installation instructions.
..... 540MB: $550, ... 810MB: $785".
-- This seems very cheap to me. This place sells new and used, but I
can't imagine there being a source of used 810MB 2.5" drives. I
wonder what the brand is. The warrenty is 1 year.
INDUS Group: in Irvine CA, "IBM Thinkpad HDD, ... 540MB $789, ...
... 810MB: call".
-- this isn't quite as cheap, but still cheaper than IBM and the place
in Florida mentioned in this group (sorry - I don't have the name
handy). No mention if the plastic case is included.
Anyway - I am (of course) suspicious. I am going to find out more. In the
meantime - has anyone heard of either of these places?
Thanks - Murray
