I have been using ARCSolo from Cheyanne software.  I admit I have been   
using the 30 trial, but it is a great package.  It automaticly   
recognized my ArchiveST Python.  I get around 12Mb/Min using the   
Adaptec SlimSCSI.  
 
It placed a controller in my Startup folder, that I subsequently moved   
to the Apps folder so that I don't waste the memory and boot up time   
unless I need it.
