As faw as I know, IBM has two SEPARATE team of people working for the
Intel-based Thinkpads and the PPC based portables. I doubt IBM will ever
leave the Intel based behind completely. I believe the first PPC notebook
is due sometime this summer... late summer. The machine itself is almost
ready, but OS/2 for Power is not. Some says it's slow and not stable....
takes 5 mins to boot then crash. As soon as the OS/2 team gets the version
for PPC out, the whole 'war' will become very interesting. and PPC running
NT will also be very interesting. I heard that the price of the PPC notebook
will cost quite a bit, initially, it was in the 5 digit range, but i hope
IBM will realize no one will buy a 5 $digit notebook....definitely not
everyone can afford one. But it got some neat features such as built in
CD-ROM and camera.

Again, Applications is what it counts. Everyone (lay people) is so used to
MS products that it will be difficult to use something on a non-MS system...
Double non-ms is gonna driver some people nuts.

Just thought I will write something to relax myself.... have a Final tomorrow.
better start to work...
