Several of my co-workers use the company SCSI DAT to back up their 
machines once a week (they buy their own tapes, so what the hell) and the 
OS/2 users just use GTAR. Lacks in snazz value, but it's free.

And in the case of GTAR, it is independent of tape model. You can find 
the program on Hobbes under the unix subdirectory. Hell, look in the index.

FYI for other FTP hounds like myself: The CICA, Simtel and Hobbes CD ROMS 
put out by Walnut Creek are available for $16 a piece, which to me was 
worth it to save xfer time. http://www.raddev.com/biz/raddev has the info
