6.001 Fall Term '98 - QUIZ 2 Information
Quiz Times and Locations
Wednesday evening, November 4, 5:00-7:00 pm, xor 7:00-9:00 pm, Room
3-270.
You may take the quiz either time. Note that you must remain in the
room the entire period from 5-7 if you take the earlier quiz, so you
might want to bring something to read or work on if you expect to
finish early.
Quiz Coverage
The quiz will cover problem sets 1 through 6; material in the book
through Chapter 2, as well as Sections 3.1 through 3.3.3, and section
3.5; and lecture material through Lecture 12 (the environment model).
Object oriented programming will NOT be on this quiz. Note that the
quiz is cumulative (covering all material described above), although
it will emphasize the new subjects focused on since Quiz 1.
Closed Book
This quiz is closed book - you may bring one 8 1/2" x 11"
page of notes (TWO sides) to the quiz. Calculators will not be necessary.

Sample Quiz
A sample quiz from Spring Term 1998 is available for you to use for
practice. It consists of:

pdf) given the week before the quiz with
code to be studied before the quiz.

Note that Quiz 2 in Spring 98 occurred somewhat later in the
semester than this year, so that some of the material on this
sample quiz will not be covered on our Quiz 2.
Conflicts
Please email information about serious conflicts to
6.001 lecturer.
In cases were it is not possible to attend either of
the evening times, a conflict exam can be set only
by prior arrangement
