EClerk Meeting Notes
First, a list of updates. Then, work in progress. I'd like to schedule
a group meeting for the second week of December - please send me your
availability for the afternoons of Tuesday 12/9 and Wednesday 12/10.
Galaxy Updates:
- EClerk now runs a local copy of Galaxy v3.7 (compiled with gcc 3!).
- EClerk connects to Galaxy via the frame relay module (sending signals
to galaudio using a "press while speaking" button) and displays the
output of that frame to the user as the text entered associated with a
docuemnt.
Example (to a reasonable approximation):
I say, "File this bill for Seth."
EClerk displays, "clause: file, document: bill, person: Seth"
- The Java server that connects to the frame relay module continues to
accept connections even if the current connection fails (or ends
legitimately).
Haystack Updates:
- Modified the SWTConsole code further to continue to accept connections
even if the current connection fails (or ends legitimately).
UI Updates:
- Scripting controls added for recording all inputs to be played back
later.
- Quick access buttons to binding groups are color coded and present on
a vertical toolbar on the right side which is viewable at all times.
Work in progress:
- User identification with Galaxy
- Galaxy recognizer feedback from user identifying unrecognized words
- Querying the RDF database through EClerk using voice queries
- Radial undistortion
- Robust image matching between video snapshots and scans
