MEng student

sfc'ers,

welcome fred strom (strom@mit.edu), he'll be MEng'ing
with us this spring and summer on the e-clerk.

i've gotten him a quiet bay in the 2nd floor hardware
lab to bring up the first e-clerk prototype. to start,
i've asked him to put together a sensor suite (mike,
video camera, scanner, touchscreen), and a PC to monitor
all the sensors, time stamp their observations and log
everything to disk.

i'd like to get everyone together to meet him and discuss
what hardware/software pieces each of us can contribute.
examples:
  karger (haystack, sheet-fed scanner)
darrell/tollmar (video handling software, tracking etc.)
  glass (speech handling)
  teller/miller (graphics, UI code)

fred will also spec the purchase of a high-end PC and
OCR software (unless someone already has these).

here's a list of proposed meeting times. please reply
to me with 1's beneath the times you can make, and 0's
otherwise.
