This computational video component is similar to the previous one, however, it can stream video clips from anywhere on the worldwide web. You can type the name of any MPEG file that you know of on the text line underneath the control buttons. It will begin streaming once you hit return.
As you might know, a typical Java applet is restricited to accessing files located on the http server that supplies the class file given in the applet tag. We have accomplished using a video server to act as a proxy on your behalf. This server could also perform additional computations on the video stream as it is transmitted.
