6.893 User Interface Design & Implementation
Fall 2003
PS5: Human Subjects Training
Due Wed, Nov 5, 12:30 pm, by email
In this individual assignment, you will take and pass the Human
Subjects Training course offered by MIT's Office of Sponsored Programs:
The course is an online course. It takes about an hour to read,
and concludes with a 20-question test about what you've read. You
have to get all 20 questions right, but you get a chance to revise your
wrong answers. Once you have answered all the questions
correctly, you will receive a certificate of completion by email.
We're requiring you to take this online course for two reasons.
First, its content is relevant to this class and important to anyone
doing user testing. Second, MIT now requires all researchers
involved in experiments with human subjects to pass this online
course. So you will come out of this class already certified to
do user studies in your graduate research.
What to Hand In
By 12:30 pm, Wednesday, November 5, you should forward your certificate
of completion to both Rob
Miller (rcm@mit.edu) and Jaime Teevan (teevan@ai.mit.edu).
If you have already taken the training course, you don't need to take
it again. Just forward your certificate of completion or some
other evidence that you passed.
