6.837 - Final Project Artifact Turnin Instructions
We're interested in a video sequence that shows off all the work you've put into this project.
Please follow these intructions to create a video of your final project.
- Grab an SGI machine. (an O2 if possible)
- Gather all the videos, audios, and images that shows off your work.
- If you need to capture a video sequence of you interacting with your program, then use MediaRecorder. (It can be found in Find/MediaTools)
- Use the Movie from Screen option to capture the video.
- Save the movie to local disk so as to get as close to 30Hz frame saves as possible.
- Start MovieMaker (found in Find/MediaTools)
- Create a new project.
- Make sure the movie you are about to create has resolution 640x480 because we are going to print it to VHS.
- Create a title page
- If you want you can make the background of the title page a high-res image.
- Make sure it has your team number, project title and your team members on it.
- Add your videos, audios, and pictures to your movie.
This may include:
- Animations
- Hi-Res stills
- Narration explaining what you did
- Explanatory titles
- Try to keep your video within 2 minutes. If it has to run longer than that, then don't worry about it.
- Save your final movie.
- Hand this movie to the TAs on the day of your presentation, if possible. At the latest, get it to the TAs by Thursday, December 9.
We will create a video tape of all the movies and play it at the "6.837 night" during IAP.
