Your objects all looked completely washed out, so no diffuse, reflected or refracted color was apparent. Probably the main reason for this was that your diffuseRadiance was being calculated incorrectly. Specifically, you did not scale the radiance by max(Light_direction . Surface_normal, 0) Specular and ambient radiance had a similar problems and were being computed incorrectly. I would go back and take another look at the equations for the phong color model.
