Make sure you are sitting at an Athena SGI workstation that has a camera attached. Both SGI O2s and SGI Indys have cameras attached. (Typing "cview" at any Athena prompt should list all public-cluster SGI machines on campus.)
1. Launch the capture tool by double clicking on the camera icon (alternatively, type "capture" at the Athena shell prompt).
2. Click on the face icon at the lower left corner and select image from system camera (or IndyCam if using an Indy).
3. Pull down the Tasks menu and select the Image submenu and then select Web Document. (This will save the image as a JPEG image)
4. Position the camera and take your picture by clicking on the red Record icon in the lower right corner.
5. To see how the picture turned out, double-click on picture filename in the file list on the right.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 as many times as necessary to get a picture you like. Unless you specifically delete the pictures, all the pictures will be saved in your local directory. You can also rename the pictures by clicking on the picture filename.
