RE: this week

more detailed update regarding BaseGen:
----------------------------------------
I finished the python script that transforms ".boundary" files for each
building (as output by walls), and writes the new contour vertices into
buildings.cntr (as taken in by vitaly's application). I also made
modifications to strip_spreadsheet.py to decrease the #of files we're
storing: initially, strip_spreadsheet had been placing each building's 4x4
transform into it's own file in it's own directory. Now all 4x4 transforms
are combined in one file called mit_buildings.transformation. Yet another
script combines DOF xform data with vitaly's fixes, and outputs a final
mit_buildings.transformation.fixed file.

Ben and I found that the ".portals" and ".spaces" data is also untransformed
when output from walls. So my task for the next few days will be writing two
more scripts that take care of this.

This should fill in most of the pipeline integration for BaseGen. Also will
provide necessary inputs to LocationServer (as Ben mentioned).

btw Michael: Ben and I would appreciate an indication of when you'll be
available.
