RE: need 2d stata floorplans in DXF format



seth... i wanted to send you one sample file before i sent you the entire
bunch...  turns out these files are HUGE...  15MB drawing files... and 45MB
dxf files...  i cant compress even one of them enough to send them via
email... do you have a server with some credentials where i can drop it?

i think we can do a considerable amount with the unstructured
plans.  please send them along to me and to "bmg@graphics" (you
can reply-all to this message) when you can.  patrick is doing
his MEng this term only on this project, so the sooner you can
get us the data, the better.  (he will make it work for most
other MIT buildings, but we're really excited about making it
work for stata to help all the confused inhabitants and visitors
find their way around.)

if you have layers containing space names and office numbers
or any info of that type, please send it as well.  even if it
is just unstructured collections of labels, we can work with
it using our current tools i think.

yes, as the more structured plans become available, please send
those as well, and we will incorporate them.
