PAIRCOIL (version 1.0)

The paircoil program is described in:

Bonnie Berger, David B. Wilson, Ethan Wolf, Theodore Tonchev, Mari Milla, and Peter S. Kim, "Predicting Coiled Coils by Use of Pairwise Residue Correlations", Proceedings of the National Academy of Science USA, vol 92, aug 1995, pp. 8259-8263.

The paircoil program predicts the location of coiled-coil regions in amino acid sequences. Current versions are available for SUN, SGI, and DEC compatable machines. A version for LINUX is in production, but not available yet.

To get a copy of the program, click on Linux, SUN, SGI INDIGO, SGI INDIGO2, DEC MIPS, or DEC ALPHA, whichever platform you have. This will automatically download a file PAIRCOIL.tar with everything you need, which you should save in your home directory.

You can also run the program on a sequence of yours without downloading it by using the Paircoil on the Web form available below.
