The MIT Reading Group on Information and Communication Technologies for Development is an open group that meets weekly to discuss applications of technologies to international development. Interests of the group include theories and case studies of development, new technologies for development, technology in education, and economic sustainability.
We are currently an all-student group from many different
departments, and not limited to MIT. Please come and join us!

Published by UNESCO's Commission on Culture and Development (1997), this report focuses on the influence of human factors (i.e., culture) in developmental issues. In particular, the introduction written by Claude Levi-Strauss is magnificent -- I'm 100% biased, though!! --Group member
