Call for Abstracts:
In the First Boston Area Architecture Workshop (BARC), we are trying
to bring together computer architecture experts and wannabes in the
Greater Boston area. Unlike other architecture conferences, we expect
BARC to be informal with numerous 15- and/or 30-minute presentations,
and long discussion breaks. We invite short abstracts (with maximum
two pages) for consideration for presentation in BARC. As usual,
elegant as well as preliminary solutions to architectural problems are
welcome. Additionally, we strongly encourage people to submit
abstracts on future problems we expect to encounter. Such
presentations need not have any proposed solutions in the abstract.
Authors can present work they have already published elsewhere or plan
to publish in future. Please send your abstract (in plain text email
or pdf) to barc2003@cag.lcs.mit.edu.
Topics of interest to this workshop include, but are not limited to: microarchitecture, multiprocessors, memory systems, I/O, networking, and performance evaluation techniques.
