  • COUHES applications is a collection of applications to the Committee on the Use of Humans as Experimental Studies, which has to approve all the user studies we do.
  • Reading Lists is a collection of good background reading in HCI and other areas important to the group.
  • Posters gives some tips for creating and presenting research posters.
  • Screencast is a list of software for recording demo movies.

Developer Resources

  • Getting Started explains how to get started as a developer in the UID group. It's primarily focused on Chickenfoot development, but it also gives general advice on getting the right accounts, setting up and configuring the tools you'll probably use (Eclipse and Firefox), and finding our Subversion repository.
  • Flyspray is our bug database. You need a CSAIL certificate in your web browser to add and remove bugs.
  • UIDWiki is our group wiki (you're reading it right now). You need a CSAIL certificate to edit it.
  • Firefox Development describes some of the features of the Firefox development environment, and has references to some documentation.
  • Javascript has tips, pitfalls, references, and articles about Javascript, particularly for Firefox extension development.
  • Subversion talks about the Subversion version control system.
  • Eclipse talks about Eclipse.
  • Javascript Tools points to a few interesting Javascript tools.
  • Web and Database Programming talks about resources for web hosting at CSAIL.
