This web utility helps you efficiently perform tedious, repetitive text editing tasks.
Paste in your text and click Mass Edit. Or try pasting one of our examples.
Lines in your text are grouped into columns by similarity. As you edit a line,
your changes are applied to the other lines in the same column in a similar
fasion.
If you want to edit a line separately from the other lines, click on the link
icon on that line to unlink it.
Now you can use Mass Edit with Google Spreadsheets! Mass Edit: Google Edition is a Chickenfoot trigger available for download. The trigger runs when you open a Google Spreadsheet, adding a tab labled "Mass Edit" to the page as shown in the following screenshot. Clicking this tab will instantly make all of the selected text on the spreadsheet available for editing using the traditional Mass Edit interface, and upon clicking the Done button each line of modified text will be loaded back into it's original spreadsheet cell.
