MIT Proto

About   |   Downloads   |   Publications

MIT Proto is distributed as source code and built using GNU Automake tools, so it should be usable on any platform with those tools, including Linux, MacOS X, and Windows with CygWin.

Manuals, tutorials, and other documentation for MIT Proto are included in the distribution.

We recommend using the latest release, as it is expected to be the most stable version. We also make available a current snapshot of the repository, but make no promises about it---that code may simply be broken.

EARLY DISTRIBUTION NOTE: MIT Proto should be considered in a state of "strong alpha" release, containing some serious known bugs and shortcomings.

Until the "Thinking in Proto" tutorial document is in releasable state, please consult the Proto part of the slides of the Spatial Computing tutorial given at RoboComm 2009, along with its accompanying live demo code
