1983 to 1986: Research Associate working for Professor Peter Szolovits on the design and implementation of a program for the diagnosis and management of heart failure, and on the design of programs to aid in the management of ventricular arrhythmias.

1977 to 1983: Division of Sponsored Research Staff working for Professor Peter Szolovits on the development and evaluation of the Digitalis Therapy Advisor and initial work on the heart failure program and the ventricular arrhythmia program.

1973 to 1977: Research assistant working for Professor William Martin on the development of a language for representing and using the kinds of knowledge involved in verbal reasoning.

1971 to 1973: Research assistant working for Professor J. C. R. Licklider on the development of a computer system to support dynamic modeling.
