Bill Long

I am a Principal Research Scientist in the Clinical Decision Making Group at the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

The primary project that I am responsible for is the Heart Disease Program (HDP). There is a demonstration version of HDP available that gives you access to the input interface and shows the results from some sample cases. If you are a physician and would like to try the program, please send me email or use the form in the demo.

I am also involved in a wide variety of other projects. We are developing a tool to assist physicians in diagnosing bioterrorist agents from the early symptoms. We are working on parsing nursing notes to annotate ICU data. We are working on several projects to help people manage heart failure at home.

My online publications are available on the ftp site.
