My wife - Christine Rodriguez

and Luis at Zanzibar Christine and Luis in Las Vegas

Christine and I met at the end of 1994, at the Zanzibar night club in Boston. The left is a polaroid of us at the club, the night we met. The right is a caricature of us in Las Vegas - 6 years later. The Zanzibar polaroid was the only time I've ever appreciated the folks who walk around offering pictures at nightclubs for outrageous prices.

The polaroid cost me $15, but I knew it would always be priceless.

Why did we meet? I won some free tickets, and gave a few to my apartment mate. My apartment mate invited Christine. Fate.

Christine at work

Christine has completed her Ph.D. in the BBS program at the Harvard Medical School. She is now a post-doc studying the pathogenesis of Salmonella in C. Lee's laboratory, also at Harvard Medical School. During her Ph.D, Christine worked in the Buratowski Lab on the mRNA capping enzyme Guanylyltransferase.

Christine received her B.S. in Biology from IBC College. She also has a homepage.

Thanksgiving Dinner

Christine also loves to cook, and I love to eat what she makes. Works out really well. :-)

I actually love to clean up after she cooks. In fact, I love it a bit too much for her taste. She gets unhappy when she's serving the food and I'm still cleaning. In her words, the "hot food's gettin' cold, cold food's gettin' hot".

Here's a Thanksgiving Day fest we (both) made.
