The program requires a .mapleinit file, a .mailcap file, and a surfaces directory, all in your home directory. If you already have your own .mapleinit file or a surfaces directory, we suggest you rename them while using this application. These names are required for the programs to function properly.
If you already have a .mailcap file
IMPORTANT NOTE: The .mapleinit file causes Maple to quit when the crystallography program is finished running. If you use Maple for anything other than this program, you must rename your .mapleinit file to another name, or else Maple will quit as soon as it is started. If you accidentally erase the .mapleinit file, there is another copy at the FTP site.
