John received his Ph.D. this spring from Rutgers University in the Entomology Department. His research interests cover ant systematics, revisionary taxonomy, insect conservation biology, systematic theory and practice, and evolution of trophobiosis. His fieldwork has taken him to southern Africa, Guyana, southwestern United States and Hawaii.
