I guess it was a post where I made the joke. Here it is. You keep a copy just in case my house catches on fire or something. :) I wish you'd quoted more of what I posted. I really like how computers record when you do these things right down to the last second. ------------------------------ From: Sean Chou Sat, 27 Nov 1993 21:00:24 -0600 To: jokim@jarthur.claremont.edu Subject: Re: ThinkPad 750C problems In comp.sys.laptops you write: >Maybe we 750 owners should start a mailing list or something to keep each >other updated on things like this.... :) Actually, this isn't realy a bad idea since we all have a lot of money invested in these machines and seeing as they are the first of a breed, we can probably all expect quite a few problems in the future. I'd even be willing to handle it as long as it doesn't get too ridiculous (which it shouldn't since I've only seen a handful of people who have them). I guess I should start by: 1) seeing if these messages are getting through, and 2) posting a message to all TP750/C users out there.... -- Sean Chou University of Illinois - Champaign Email: seanchou@uiuc.edu -- John H. Hello guys! This is our pseudo user's group mailing list. I'm not sure whether or not when you guys respond, if the mail will just got to me or to all of us. Let me know! Anyway, the first thing that would be nice to check out is battery consumption time. If we leave our TPs on suspend, how much battery will be consumed. I'd appreciate if you guys could leave it on for given times and check the fuel guage at that time (say one check for 10 hours -- overnight). I'll leave mine on for ten hours tonight with nothing loaded (I don't know if that will make a difference) except for a CPU guage (CPU and Drive) and the Fuel guage. Also, if you know any other users, please let me know their email addresses if they wouldn't mind being put on this list. The people on here so far are: Joe Kim and Robert Dewar. Please let me know if you receive this message. -- John H.
