RE: TP750 / TP755CX : TV tuner

Hello Joe,

The "System Program Service Diskette" is a bios/firmware update for a 750.
You can (and should) ignore it. Your bios revision (already installed in
the flash ROM on your 755CX) is probably the most recent, (v1.44?) and this
is
not the problem. The TV tuner uses no software to function. No OS needs to
boot either.
I have an IBM TV tuner working in a TFT 755CD. I don't know for sure if
the TV Tuner works in your machine, and I have doubts. Your TFT screen
syncs up at 800x600 resolution, right? Mine only goes to 640x480. What
does the tuner do when you turn it on and switch it to display on the TFT?
Did you receive instructions/manual for the TV tuner? I doubt you'd be able
to even push the right buttons to see the TV screen without instructions as
the buttons are not labeled. Maybe you'll get a smaller (640x480) picture,
who knows?
Let me know if you want the instructions.

Hope it works,
Aaron.
