Perhaps now would be a good time for me to wonder out loud if perhaps the
discussion has wandered a bit far away from the original topic of a record
structure facility for Scheme?  I mean, all this theoretical talk about
opacity and strong typing and about what people's compilers might and might
not be able to do is all very interesting, but it seems rather remote from
the real problem.  Records.
