Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Fall Semester, 2004
MIT 6.805/6.806/STS085: Ethics and Law on the Electronic Frontier
Last class, Wednesday, December 8
This last week is special. There are no classes on Tuesday or
Thursday. Instead, we will attend 1st Circuit Court rehearing of
US v. Councilman, which is the case you argued in the moot
court earlier this semester.
After the hearing, we'll go to Harvard for an end of semester party.
The party starts at 4:00 (although we probably won't get there from
the hearing until close to 5) and is in Pound 204.
Getting to the Councilman hearing
The hearing will be at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8 in the federal
courthouse in Boston. Take the red line to South Station, leaving from
Kendall Square no later than 2 p.m. We will be meeting in Hal's office
(32-386) at 1:45 p.m. to walk over.
From South Station: Go North on Atlantic Ave. Cross Summer and Congress
Streets. Take a right and cross the Evelyn Moakley bridge, which takes you
to the courthouse. If you get lost, ask for directions to "the federal
courthouse on Northern Avenue."
Plan to arrive early because the courtroom may be packed.
