CSAIL TIME CARD APPROVAL PROCESS
SUPPORT STAFF:
Two Options Paper: * Enter your time in SAP through the Employee Self Service site:
http://web.mit.edu/sapwebss/.
* Print time card and have your supervisor sign it. If your Primary Approver is not available, an alternate approver can sign your time card.
* Time cards must be turned into Janie Porter, 32-G422, by 12 noon on Monday.
Email: * Enter your time in SAP through the Employee Self Service site.
* Email your supervisor requesting approval for your hours, including sick leave, vacation, or other leave hours. Be sure to cc
timecards@csail.mit.edu.
* Your primary approver should send his or her approval to
timecards@csail.mit.edu by 12 noon on Monday.
Things to Note: * If we do not receive approval from the primary approver (or alternate when necessary) by12 noon on Monday, Janie will follow-up with an e-mail request to all the supervisors asking any of them to respond with approval. She will also copy the impacted support staff on this e-mail. We need a response by 3:00 p.m. on Monday to make the payroll deadline.
* Time can also be partially approved and paid if there are questionable entries that cannot be resolved by the payroll deadline.
HOURLY STUDENT:
* Students must print a copy of the completed time sheet after entering it in SAP, and submit it to HQ with an approver’s signature no later than 12 noon on Monday. Timesheets submitted without approval will not be paid until approval is obtained.
* Students can access time sheets through WebSIS (
http://student.mit.edu) under the ‘Financial Information’ link.
If you have questions, please ask Janie Porter,
janie@csail.mit.edu, or Rachel Avery,
rachel@csail.mit.edu.
