Mouseless Browsing in Firefox

I found a new Firefox Add-on I will never want to be without again today: Mouseless Browsing. The documentation is rather bad (too complicated), but here’s the rundown: with numlock on, press “.” on the numerical keypad to show/hide a unique number next to each link/button/etc. on the current web page. To activate any particular link, type its number and press enter (or shift/control-enter to open a link in a new window/tab).

When combined with Ctrl+”+”/”-” (larger/smaller page rendering size), this brings browsing comfort to incredible new heights as I can lean back in my office chair with my feet on the desk, my external keyboard in my lap, my monitor placed far back on the desk (a 24″ that’s now about seven feet from my eyes), and my mouse left safely behind. Sort of like this.
