color-coded visualization of named spaces 
  (as named by DOF using FICM (?) layer, contours, and labels)

overlay of generated 3D geometry onto 2D basemap with
  street labels, etc.  (for example see
     http://city.lcs.mit.edu/data )

give some thought to who will be the users of jason's API:
  1) validation for geometry generated by city scanning project
  2) visualization of campus planning projects -- MIT DOF etc.
  3) visualizing ordinary pedestrian traffic flow:
       inter-class flow (simulation); wheelchair routes
  4) visualization of emergency pedestrian flow (evacuation)
  5) cricket infrastructure:  resource finding, route planning.
